Product Advantages
BioBased Insulation® has significant advantages over conventional insulation materials such as fiberglass and cellulose. First, because it completely fills and seals all voids, you can seal and insulate in one step.
Next, because BioBased Insulation® seals your building's thermal envelope, it gives you complete control over the air inside your building. This allows your HVAC unit to operate more efficiently and helps to keep conditioned air inside.
Also, because conventional insulation materials can settle, they cannot seal from stud to stud, around outlets or on horizontal surfaces. BioBased Insulation® is spray-applied on any structure and will not sag or settle over time. The air seal that you get on the day of installation is the same seal that you have throughout the life of your structure.
BioBased Insulation® is not affected by moisture. It does not support mold growth, and it offers no food source or nesting materials for rodents and insects.
BioBased Insulation® provides superior performance:
- Reduced HVAC loading
- Heating and cooling costs decreased
- Seals and insulates in one application
- Provides a draft-free environment for improved indoor air quality
- Reduces airborne dust and fibers
- Reduces allergic reactions
- Reduces indoor and outdoor acoustical pollution
- R-values do not deteriorate over time
- Does not settle or compact in cavities
